Thanks for posting it up, its almost definitely one of the ME cars....now my job is to try and find Albert Saunders!

.

That shouldn't be too hard :D

A name like Zaphod Beeblebrox would be easier, but John Smith would be harder.

The fact that he got a second car might make it easier.

Ok that was quick!

The car that was auctioned recently was not sold, Albert decided to keep it and still has it.

He purchased from an American who was stationed at the nearby RAF base, after the crash he was paralysed from the waist down for 6 mths...he also mentioned when the fire brigade arrived they had no idea how the doors worked, thought they opened sideways.. and broke both door handles attempting to open them.
It was also registered on a Q plate!, no record of the vin but he is confident of finding out the registration..that will be a good start.

Alberts son's have internet access and are going to join up, (they need some door struts too!)

Excellent work Alistair - the crash must have been a lot worse than I thought from looking at pics then

Yes, I think your right Thomas.

It was only a few miles from his house, he also knew of another DeLorean which was crashed and written off which belonged to another American based at the same base!

Albert rang me back today, he has found the registration number and it was on a Q plate, now I need to chat someone up at the DVLA!
