I have since uncovered a further two dealerships.

One in Dubai, and another in Sharjah.

Both were called 'International Automotive' and no longer exist, believed to have 25 cars between the two.

Mine was sold in Sharjah, and Carl Hammonds at the Dubai branch.

How ironic that Delorean, the band, were at The Middle East, the club, on Saturday :D

Well only really because my car is one of them, and when I bought it, it came with a load of paperwork in Arabic and a copy of its number plate....that set me thinking, how many were there etc..and it went from there...two years ago there was little to no information on the ME cars..James Espey started looking in the documents files and I started looking for certain vin numbers, when we started there were only two in the vin range on http://www.txdmc.org, now there is about 25, and still more coming out of the woodwork.

I have spoken on the phone, and had email conversations with people all over the world...just about DeLoreans sold in the Middle East!

You are entirely correct, although the manual conversion was definitely worth it...and the rest is in the past!

I have really enjoyed this article: congratulations and thanks for keeping the ME cars topic alive!
It's such a shame that all those spare parts were destroyed during the war.. :(

By the way, do I really see scotch-locks in the last picture, in the gearshift compartment?
