Hi conny, when you do the head gaskets check and make sure the heads arn't pitted where the liners sit, i have had this problem with an engine that was sitting around. If its bad you need to get them tigged up and skimmed TT

Good luck with the head gaskets, but do a sniff-test on the coolant bottle first and check that the thermostat is working first and the car has the self-bleed kit installed first.

Hello

I will order the gasketskits from Ed at DMCE.
He has them in stock too a good price. And i do need some other small parts..
Otherwise it is quiet easy too get the parts from Volvo just go too your loakal dealer and he should take them home on a weeks delivery time.
Volvo has a storage for old classic volvocars whit a lot of the old parts.. Too good price just longer deliverytimes.
I did get my coverplate too my waterpump from there this part is not on stock at any DMC dealer.. (backside of waterpump).
Not cheap but it will hold for many years too come.
I did order it if anyone has use for the info from a volvo 240series whit the V6 2,7 engine called B27E year 1980...The 240 series hade on GLT the option to get the V6..
I did own one for many years ago.. Loved that car..

Hello...

The car is in the workshop and is soon ready.
The cylhead is fixed the valves is grinded and do now seal properly and new valveseals are mounted.
No problem according too workshop too the liners..
The heads will be remounted on monday and car will be ready on tuesday.
Then only a testdrive and then MOT...
Hopfully no problem there...

Did read abut a question here earlier and the history of the car soo far i can tell.
The car i built for M.E and shipped too dealership in kuwait..
No records so far about ownership down there...
Bought and shipped too sweden in mid 80`s. Buy some Volvoguy...
Owed in sweden by a one person proberbly the former Volvo empolyed who imported it too sweden.
Stored in a warehouse for some 20years.
Someone tryed too fix the car but failed big time... In spring 2009 i did buy the car in the summer of 2009.
The car has been woorked on by me and a workshop too sort out all problem and it has been a lot of thoes..

Plans are just now too get the car roadready and approved by MOT.
I have plans too show the car in the spring on a big classicmotorcar show outside Gotenburg.
All really depends on how the MOT goes..

Hello..

Some time since i did wriht anything here soo here is a new uppdate..
Due too some problems whith the coolingsystem.. Some more leaks too fix soo the car is not yet ready too get a MOT.
Hopefully i will get the car ready this week but im not sure yet...
I did take help from a garage whit previus PRV knowledge for help fixing my headgasket problem.

I do have too find a garage there i can work on my car alone..
I cant take her apart on my work.. Too many people had some problem whit me having my car there...

I do hope too have some news later on in this week for you.
Perhaps even some youtube movies..

I did get invited too a carshow next year and it can be so that my car is going too drive some VIP guest too.
Quit fun too have a invite like that. Many people has alredy been intrested in the car just by seeing the car and heard that i own one...
I will be fun too take her out on the roads this summer...
I will take her too a big carshow in sweden this spring.
It is a big classic sportcarshow... One of the best and biggest in sweden called Tjoloholm...

I will post some more pics this comming weeks.

Did get a call from workshop the car is ready and running as she should....
I will pick it up on tusday and take her to my garage for storage until MOT inspection later next month.

It will be nice too be able too drive her soon.
