Yer man was on BBC Radio 2 and waffling on about For the Love of cars, he said that the factory had two entrances one for each side of the community. He's made it sound like the factory facilitated community separation at the gates rather than the workers would obviously just go for the gate nearest to where they lived. RTE radio in Ireland were also referring to his interview this morning and now they also believe there was some sort of forced segregation at the gates occurring...

In fairness to Phil he did say that inside the factory there was no divisions tolerated.

[apologies for rant]

Yes Tone, I assume he got this from workers, but took it out of context - images from Neal:

I used to tell gullible coworkers in Alabama that I was only allowed to walk on one side of the street in Belfast and the "other side" walked on the other side while there were designated crossing areas marked with black and white striped lines. The fact that I told them that I was only allowed to walk on the right hand side of the street didn't raise any questions.

But then again, these were the same people who when learning I came from Ireland, complimented me on learning English so quickly.

Both true stories.
