Ok jokes aside, I would be very cautious of this modification.
Normal power steering is hydraulic and the "power" action is done within the rack. The electric system is just a way of adding more torque force to your steering column. Imagine opening the door of your car and sticking a 6ft scaffold pole through the steering wheel and using it to turn the steering. It's this force that your exerting on your UJ's and rack and pinion with the electric retro fit. Fine in something like a Corsa that has electric power steering because the joints and rack were made to take the torque forces. But remember the De rack never was designed for this force and they wear pretty easily on their own.
I would imagine too it will exert force on the steering column mountings and pressure on the bulkhead bearing too.
It's not a moan about originality, it's just expressing my concern as an engineer. Good luck to Ed, but personally I'd give it a wide berth.

After the power steering (demo car) was sold, 2 more Deloreans were fitted with the power steering and I am the first in Belgium.
It did not take me a long time to decide I wanted this modification in my Delorean.
It is not original, true! It might not be necessary as most weight is on the rear axel, true again. Expensive option, true again. But you have no idea how great this thing drives unless you've tried this. I am certainy strong enough (I just to fit into the car)
It is not only very nice to park cars, but for me it improves the joy of driving the car taking turns, roundabouts. It became known pretty fast I had this power steering, and I was aked for my keys several times to feel this at a recent meeting. They all came back with the words "woooww, now that is smooth." Some already called Ed to ask for a quote on this. So it is a lot more enjoyable to drive the car. If I had to buy another Delorean, it would be the first thing for me to upgrade.
Too much pressure on the rack and pinion? Doubtful. I will not yank the steering wheel violently, I never did. I handle it with caution all the time.
But I also applaud Ed's effort to make things better and launch new products. Not many DMC vendors are this inventive.
