Ferrari Meet

I was invited via Justin to give a brief talk about all things DMC at a Ferrari get together near Hatfield last week.

Justin drove over in his car, and veteran Chris Spratt turned up in Trevor's car (for sale)

It went quite well and we were treated to dinner beforehand, there were the usual comments in jest, but overall they liked the cars and were interested in the history and myths,
Luckily I had some brief notes but Chris was on hand to go into finer detail on some questions.

I enjoyed it and know slightly more about Ferraris than I did!

Do you have more info on the 550 Zagato Barchetta? Rumors are that only 2 were build, a silver one and a darker grey one. Some say it wasn't officially approved by Ferrari ...

Well, one of the guys said it was a one off , I might be able to find out more

So it was a charity do, then?

I hear that Ferraristas like to help the less fortunate car marques out by pretending to listen to their troubles and giving them a free meal. See how the other half live, so to speak. Don't want to give them money or they will just spend it on cheap parts.



Seriously though, well done. I have found that owners of older F-cars in particular are very interested in our cars and the history as there are certain parallels with their low volume cars and charismatic designers.

They have a regular meet there I think once every couple of months, I think one of them is/was close to buying one...

But we will see!
