Help

Postby carfundi » Sat Nov 19, 2016 12:02 am

Hi guys, I mentioned before one of our TV satelite channles showed the Delorean eposode of For The Love Of Cars, after re watching it I noticed Ant the mechanic unroll what looked like an A0 size outline/exploded view of the Delorean, as I had recorded the program I could stop and freeze the program, the drawing has Haynes in one corner and what looks like John Lawson on another part of the drawing.
Where can I get one?

Next...the plastic front and rear panels, should they be a dull grey or glossy paint finish?

Lastly : My rear light clusters, the orange lenses are different shades of orange, what is the correct one?

Cheers

the tail lights - look at the 2nd picture on this page: http://www.deloreanclub.uk/amber-orange ... paint.html - shows a before and after.

Paint - probably something inbetween! - if you study enough old pictures you might get an idea

Chris Williams sells those posters on his site, I'm sure if you contact him he will be able to sort you out.

As Arran mentioned, it's somewhere in between, it's not matt, but it isn't a high gloss finish either.

My car is late '81, the same as yours and carfundi, the fascias on mine are original, and I can say with confidence that the finish is definitely not matte It is not flat matte, nor is it high gloss, it is somewhere in-between, more of a satin/semi-gloss.
