LOL.... try it ... it is very satisfying :) :)

I think people who come out with that sort of question without even chatting to you first deserve that sort of reply ... and it leaves them speachless :)

The best one i ever heard was when i was at the petrol station filling the car with petrol, as you do, and a chap walked up to me and said
''Thats one of those new electric powered cars isn't it''

hhhmmmmmm....

Another time whilst at ripon car show, again at a petrol station, a big sweaty trucker came over for a natter and put his big fat sweaty hands on the rear quarter pannel  telling me it was made entirely of aluminim etc etc. I told him it was only a stainless steel skin and that it was easily marked with grubby hands and fingerprints were a nightmare to remove. He then proceeded to rub his sweaty hands all over the doors/glass with me stood there glaring at him saying PLEASE DON'T TOUCH IT
I ended up just getting in and driving off mid conversation.

And this one time, at band camp............

i just say, it was built by channel hoppers, who put us, the natives out of work and took 6 years to build, never made any money, cost the tax payer about 300 million, then the government gave it away to BT who made it a success :D and now we are getting robbed to see burnt out eighties bands who are robbing us all, and will disappear to the seychelles when they have made their money lol TT

ummm i have been reading these answers and most of them sound very familure.
most of the questions come to you when you are in a petrol garage filling up funny really
it is brushed ally?
is it a kit car?
is it a vw scirocco
there was only 1000 made wasn't there
i have only worked on one of these
yes wheres the flux
oh you cant park to close to anyone cuz you wont get the door open.
dose it really only do 85mph.

i think the only question i can agree with is when people say that they are crap ant they. What do you say you cant call them a lier lol

In my time at the petrol station I have met the:

"Person who helped design these at Triumph"
"Person who made the VIN plates"
amongst others

They were all made at Lotus,
Are they reliable ? (well I drove me 300 miles here to the car show!)

They are rubbish to drive. (Have you driven one?) No. (so how do you know how they drive?)

Where's the coke? (then I show then clear plastic bag full of flour and I ask how many wraps they like?)

etc.

Maybe from motoring press saying they are - it's not like it's untrue like the rest of the toss they come out with! :D
