Most people have mentioned breakdown cover, as long as that includes recovery if the vehicle can't be repaired

Still working on this one...

Have got them down to around the £200 mark, including UK breakdown, salvage (Category C+D) and £80 windscreen excess (tbc but shouldn't be an issue)

Where they won't budge is on car hire. Happy to cover weddings but not proms (because risk is higher).

They're phoning me again on Monday so will know more then... Do you think I can get them to match Footman James?

I'd imagine your "rough end of Dereham" postcode vs my Sandringham postcode will have a fairly big difference on price. I'd say £200 was pretty good... for an auto ;)

LOL!

I'll have you know Dereham is becoming a respectable 'up and coming' town. We even have a Marks & Spencer now!

Well, it's a BP with an M&S bolted on, but still...

All

Just a quick update on this, I have just spoken to Hugo and someone is going to call me back but he did say that the windscreen insurance can effect the premium as a DeLorean windscreen is £800?!

I am not sure that this is the case but I will keep you posted.

Cheers

Erm, I don't think so: http://www.delorean.eu/catalog/product_ ... _id=128002

Probably worth a call into this place as well: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=50

Update,

So the windscreen issue is now sorted - confirmed with Sean at Uroglass. Excess is £75 and covers up to £600. So provided the cost of the screen and labour to install, doesn't come in over that we're good.

£200 excess if the car is stolen/written off.

Includes salvage (Category C+D only).

UK Breakdown

Written agreed valuation

Quote I have is £176.55 (that's with a mileage limit of 2,000) or £188.09 (4000 mileage limit).

Extras include:

£25 legal cover

Wedding hire - additional cost, but they can't cover Proms because risk is too high.

How does that weigh up to what other people are getting? I don't think that's bad at all.

Anything obvious I've missed?
