Hi Sam?

Great pictures, thanks for posting them.

It looks like quite a well-done trim job!

I love the tailpipes!

Hi Arran.
cheers for making the pics clickable, i usually use tinypic as it reduces the pic size, but it wasnt working when i tried so sorry again for the big pics.

i loved the tailpipes too :geek: tbh they werent the worst thing on the car. the general condition of it was alright (no dents i could notice) but the fit of the panels and they way they had been reattached was pretty poor. few other things i cant remember off the top of my head too, but overall it was alright but could do with a bit of tlc.

oh its samir btw. i used to be a doc member like 7-8 years ago when i was 14-15. recently got interested in the delorean for some reason lol

hey mr van.

no problem. my pleasure.

yeh the trim is amazing quality. cant fault it. apart from the colour really.
the london motor museum is really like a front end for a custom car company called TKO london. in the back of the museum they have cars that are waiting to be picked up, and cars that have been customised by tko to sell (not all that nicely ie shiny gold aston db9).
they got skills, but with their museum cars, it is as though they rush the job on certain aspects. on the D its the restoration of the rest of the car.

its worth having a look round there if you can though. aint too bad

Welcome Samir !

I might have met you briefly if you ever went to the NEC Classic car show.

So has your passion for the car been re-ignited lately?

Thanks for the pics too :D

Great,

somewhere in my notes, I had the interior as burgundy, but that's clearly flaming RED

Also in my notes, I had a RED painted one in a museum in London also, witha vin of 5146. Ring a bell with anyone?

I will PM you the very small piece of information I have on this subject Dermot - it may well be of some help.

Also - have you got this one already? - allegedly is or was here: http://www.docshd.com/custom/museum.htm

Arran,

you're a star!!!

Had not heard of the "Docs" one. I will follow up on that at once.

Thanks to your earlier pm, I am getting a bit more info on the other red one, that I thought was in London, but apparently isn't. Update soon.

(I have an ominous feeling these two red cars will end up being the same ones :D )

Hi,
I havent been to the NEC show (b'ham right?).
I did go to an Alexandra Palace show once, and there was a delorean club stand. I was allowed to sit in the drivers seat of one of the cars. I remember how low it was!
Also been to Beaulieu to see the D there, and of couse the London Motor Museum.

I've always been interested in the Delorean, since I was around 13. Always loved it in the BTTF films, but as a child i assumed it was a custom one off car made for the films. So one day as i was watching it, i googled CMC Back to the future (didnt know it was dmc), and thats where it all started.
I grew up obviously, got my licence and a car, so the Delorean passion sort of died down. Now and again ill google delorean and browse forums etc, but it wasnt till the other day that i started looking into them properly again.

I still want one, but itll be a while before i get one though.

hopefully they will still be around in another 20 years eh?

thanks for the welcome

Just updated with a few new ones in the States.

Modified the C.O.T.S. ones, based on my best understanding of the BTTF cars there.
