Autotechnics Oxford SS Exhaust response

Postby mnickels » Wed Mar 31, 2010 10:28 am

Dear Matthew

Thank you for your recent enquiry.

We can certainly build a Stainless Steel Exhaust for your Delorian

All our systems are tailor-made using stainless steel (T304) and come with a no hassle, fully transferable lifetime guarantee so it is literally fit and forget.

Our free-flow systems are designed get the best from your vehicle. Usually the most noticeable improvement is in low down torque giving better acceleration and much better throttle response

Every system comes with a choice of our standard tailpipes, and we have an extensive range of tailpipe upgrade options, so you can choose the finish that's exactly right for you and your car! And because our systems are custom built, you are able to tell us how you would like the car to sound, anywhere from quiet to full sport. The most popular choice is Mild Sport, which gives a slight note when you accelerate, but without being intrusive.

To design and build a Longlife Stainless Exhaust system from the cat through to the rear of your vehicle would cost £500 plus carriagebut we would need you to send us the original system to template from

We also offer a wide range of other products and services such as MOTs, servicing, wheels and tyres.  We can also offer a very competitive finance package so your payments could be spread over 12 months.

When you arrive and before work commences, we will agree and confirm the final details of the system design. After work is completed, every exhaust undergoes a thorough twelve-point quality check, to ensure complete reliability and performance.
Please call me on 01869 350212 or email me at workshop@autotechnics-oxford.com or rtpug@hotmail.co.uk  to book an appointment or discuss your requirements further.
To see a selection of vehicles that have had exhausts fitted here please look at http://www.autotechnics-weston.com/Stai ... ystems.htm

I look forward very much to hearing from you soon.

Regards

Rob

So they haven't actually made one before then?!

How did you find them Matt? Was it just googling "DeLorean exhaust"?

From the cat back to the rear of the vehicle.... They couldn't even be bothered to do a quick google on delorean exhaust to see what it roughly looks like  More interested in 'no hassle' warranty and finance offers.

Basically yes lol. Don't even know how it came up as he spells it Delorian lol. Would be interesting to see if he sticks to his £500 after seeing an actual exhaust. To be honest the way things are for me at the minute the finance is interesting as long as it isn't extortionate as everything else I have is going on other parts and would have to put on my original exhast to get to your gaff

Maybe Delorean Club should add finance to its long list of benefits? ;)

Do you want me to speak to Don Matt?

I reckon that company in Oxford will weld...rather than use pulled bends.

Don't worry about it Al. It isn't really a priority and all my Delorean fund is accounted for at the minute. I spoke to John Hervey and he said he marks his exhausts $135 second hand parts when shipping. If that worked it would cost around £735 which isn't bad but it is a risk.

I really like JH's manifolds, but seperate silencers makes the car sound like a tractor (opinion based on Rich J's twin turbo)

Isn't Chris Hawes's car that sort of design too? Sounds good no?
