New Cleaner (better than Barkeepers?)

Postby A Van » Thu Apr 15, 2010 3:44 pm

Dave Swingle (DMCMW) in the US has found a new cleaner which they prefer to Barkeepers as its a much finer powder, doesnt leave as much white residue, and gives fantastic results.

http://www.debrucepolish.com/

I have been talking with Bruce, and he has explained that Barkeepers has oxalic acid as a bleaching agent and uses pumice stone as an abrasive, these products will attack the intregity of the stainless, and are of a caustic nature.

I have two bottles on the way for us to try out, we have Silvercoast around the corner, and Eurotec etc to experiment a bit, plus Malc Lomas will prob want to try it out.

If this stuff is as good as they say it is, I have already done a deal for Eurotec to be the distributor over here and Europe, meaning our members will be able to buy this product through here at trade price.

Has somebody tested this product from Dodo Juice?
I'm afraid that it may give too much shine..

Supernatural Fine Cut Metal Polish

A feature of cars is that they often have metal bits on them that need a good polish once in a while. It’s normally the tail pipes, as we brits haven’t been into yankee style chrome grilles (and other adornments) since the Austin Allegro Vanden Plas passed away in 1980-something. But if your tail pipes do need some love, we have the perfect polish for them - Supernatural Fine Cut Metal Polish. It’s been developed to clean and shine most metals, including chrome, stainless and aluminium – as gently as possible. It’s available in either a metal bottle on its own (with flip top cap, for easy dispensing) or in a kit with a microsuede low-lint cloth that’s perfect for polishing work. Please note that the act of polishing metal will turn cloths black, so don’t use your finest microfibre for this purpose.

100ml bottle RRP 12.95 GBP.
100ml bottle + 40x40cm polishing cloth RRP 15.95 GBP

Yep: all products from Dodo Juice has strange names! I have bought from them some paint cleaners and waxes for my daily driver, as well as some microfibers, but I still haven’t used them.
I’m afraid that it’s about a product to obtain a shining look..

Hello,

Does anyone have some results/feedback on the DeBruce stainless polish? I was wondering how it compares. Thanks for any info.
