Postby Birksie » Sun Jun 21, 2009 11:56 pm

I was pulling out the carpet from inside the storage compartment behind the drivers seat and found a Quarter from 1977!!!! Cool or what!

Well.................................I thought so anyway.

The car was build in 81 and that's a 77 Quarter, well that proves the DMC 12 is a real time machine. Not that I had any doudts

lol
I think it should remain part of the car now. Its been there its entire life. Thats amazing when you think about it.
It could have belonged to the first owner. But its still puzzling how it got there. Its not like it dropped out of someones pocket or something. Unless the original owner used to keep his money in there.

I seem to remember someone finding a groat in my car by the handbrake with United Arab Emirates on it...I had forgotten about it until now..., I think I still have it.

We could have a thread of 'Oddities found in Cars'

Thats a great find, I wish I found something like that in mine, all I found was a couple of bits of broken glass where a window must have been smashed in the past.

When I first bought her, I found a fair bit of sand under the carpet, and dried plant seeds and leaves, but that was it.
I think the best find ive seen (Apart from the factory graffiti) is John Chapelhows Delorean when we came to changing his radiator out at Chrispys. He found an original key tiewrapped (ziptie) to the center frame behind the DMC grill!!!. This was the one with the lightbulb in the fob. A bit rusty, but still an unusual find.
