Yes Jez,

You could ask Ed to set up a direct debit as you'll need to change them frequently. ;)

Just to recap, whats the problem then with the special t balljoints? The ones with the retaining rings? I have put around 2k miles on them am I to be expecting catastrophic failure?

The tapers don't lock together for the full length of the taper because the shaft becomes parallel before the full diameter is reached, as shown in Darren's drawing here:

Also the circlip grove is machined in a bad way (on some of his joints) and the dimensions mean you hub will sit higher from your lower arm than it should, making the car very slightly lower and affecting your camber. (Probably doesn't matter too much about the last 2 points because the delorean suspension isn't great for handling anyway :lol:

Lower ball joints

UPDATE.........


I have check Scott Miller's car today. He's done over 1000 miles on our new lower ball joint since I fitted it last month. (1000 mile + round trip to eurofest from here)

NO DETECTED play or wear. :D

As expected then Darren! Dan Stacey has fitted his and will be putting some miles on them.
