D sighting in Belfast

Postby Dangermouse » Tue Dec 13, 2011 9:34 pm

My brother just emailed on last week to say he saw a D in Belfast, parked off the Lisburn Road - YTJ 490W, which is supposed to be the one at the Bentley Wildlife Museum in England.

After a little research, it turns out that the car @ Bentley WR was on loan from a private owner. It was supposedly sold by this owner at the end of the summer. I assume that the new owner is in Belfast.

Was it any of the cars we have seen for sale here recently? One of the ones Al talked about coming out of storage?

New owner on here?

This car is very original and really really clean. Its nice to see what mine might have been like before some clampit (me) got their hands on it.

It has approx 4800 miles on it now and it used weekly.

If I remember right,Martin G put that car back on the road about 16 months ago.
I helped with changing the complete fuel system.
The only real bad thing about that car was the headliners which Martin done.

I thought so, it has Martins fuel lines and headlights and a few other bits and bobs.

Didnt notice anything bad about the headlining though.

Martin replaced the headliners because they where sagging.
If you look carefuly at the bottom of the reg number you will see Martin's web site address.
