Yeah - what I mean is - by the time the light has reached the mirror it has already sent a few bits of light wide (into the air) - or has been adjusted to not do that - meaning that the remaining beam is a bit too "straight" (directional). You could get around that though with a convex mirror, so I'm off down the patent office tomorrow! :mrgreen:

Nope. Have a look at your own headlights in a mirror. Apart from being the mirror image (!), do they look any different than when you look directly at them?

The mirror would need to be large enough to reflect the entire beam, but at a distance of a few inches, it'll only need to be fractionally wider, and the same length, times the square root of 2 (assuming 45 degrees).

Yeh, strange that, it's in this months Classic & Sports Car mag aswell. I love the gull wing boot.

Goes to show Giugiaro was a one trick pony.

He obviously tried Porsche before JZD, with his design!

Just makes you think about, Lotus's influence on to Giugiaro's design...how much REALLY was JZD's work?
