But then you stress your suspension bushes which are set with the cars weight on them. ;)

Well I had to a make a previously unplanned visit up to my Dad's last night to put some stuff into storage in his barn.

Having been away and then my recent personal circumstances have meant that I've left the D longer than I'd wanted to so I was also itching to see if it would still work after 5/6 weeks of sitting around. I don't know why I had so little faith...

Turned on the kill switch, interior lights came on happily. Key in the ignition and the engine fired within a couple of seconds. Awesome!

Took her up the road for a quick run - it was great. I've been a bit low after stuff recently but the D really cheered me up. Who'd have thought?! :D

Well unless 7176 manages to sell itself on eBay to a new owner without me realising in the next 18 months I think it will be!

Or it 'gets off with' an older model too (especially a '53 variant !!!!!!!)

I had my D in professional storage for a year and the "keepers" told me that it always started when they done their monthly start up - although the battery kept draining.

A D more reliable than women.....yes... absolutely. You know where you stand with a D, even in my case if that means standing at the side of a road waiting for recovery...
