A bit of luck..

Postby OllieWilks » Thu May 01, 2014 10:18 am

I just wanted to share a piece of good luck I had yesterday, but to start with I had bad luck. I was driving the time machine over from a friends house and suddenly noticed the engine was getting very hot!! which since I've had the car has always been perfect, luckily there was a Bosch specialist 50yards ahead....what luck as I was in the middle of bleeding nowhere!!...

I stopped, got the vents off and opened up the engine bay, the mechanics quickly came over and within 10 seconds we found a stone lodged which had become lodged and pulled the belt off of the water pump pulley. They said they've never seen this happen before! a bit of adjusting and 15 mins later I was back on my way £10 lighter.
Very lucky that I didn't blow a gasket and didn't need recovery as no way I could have fixed it by the road! Anyway just thought id share my story as I'm feeling very lucky! :D

Yeah exactly - what do you call it when you've 2 of them? "the sh***er" and "the sh***er with sh** on it"? or "the sh***er" and "the spare"?!

I'll be pulling the cover off my sh*tter tomorrow to get it for the mot. What are the chances I'll just pull the cover back over it and go and have a beer?
