No... it didn't although there was some glimmer of hope it faded when Quentin Wilson came in for sure.

The balljoint came loose and stripped its thread, we supplied them the upgraded one and the car has been on the road since with no problem

Its the RHD from the For Love of Cars programme which lives in Potters Bar

Well it got off a lot lighter than the Lagonda!

Quentin was even pretty kind to it by his standards.

And of course a comment about 'brushed aluminium' made it into the edit

I think Chris Williams offered his car for static shots as long as Quentin wasn't involved... seems the producers changed and wheeled him in.

Really frustrating portrayal of the car.

Johnny with his Brushed Aluminium should have know better, and how it made the edit??? just shows little knowledge in the subject matter by the production company.

Dom Jolly, well, as hard as he tried with the "anyone got any plutonium or a flux capacitator" it really was tiresome and wasn't at all funny.

The ball joint failure was just unlucky; but a part of me is annoyed when cars that don't get used regularly are dragged out of storage and expected to work perfectly in front of the cameras as embassadors for the marque.

On a serious note, they filmed Dom Jolly on public roads with trade plates......This is an absolute NO NO.

A trader or employee of the registered business who is listed on the insurance may ONLY use trade plates to test drive ("test drive" only applies to MOT testers and vehicle repair businesses in their day to day work) the vehicle (which still needs to be insured, usually through a traders policy linked with the trade plate), take the vehicle to/from MOT or to take it home or to the business base from where you've acquired it (if its a purchase) or from base to base if you have more than one business premises. They can be used under certain circumstances by a potential buyer when accompanied by an employee of the business on test drive. Any usage for any other reason is strictly prohibited and carries a £5000 fine and loss of plate.
Trade plates CANNOT be used to drive a car on a public highway by a person not employed or accompanied, to make a TV show. That's why most production companies use private land to film on, close a public road for the period of filming or insure the car legitimately on its registration number.

There's 2 ways to attach trade plates.
1, Obscure the original registration plate.....this indicates the vehicle is NOT insured on its own, and insurance is from the trade plate (terms above apply)
2. Attach trade plates with original reg showing....this shows the car is insured on its own reg.

I hope DVLA were watching last night ;)

And Quentin....well he's just a cock
