Wanna see my new (Stainless Steel) struts?

Whooooo hoooo I have just in the last 10 mins picked up these Stainless Steel struts for vin 11789, courtesy of Arran
As I have the bonnet off and the louvre is snapped on passenger side (outer) oh,
... and the passenger door has no torsion bar, I'll fit one to the drivers door in the next couple of minutes.

Get 'em - they look nice (well it does! )
Just needed to crack the female ball receptacle (sounds like a colloquialism for a lady boy) as I couldn't align my pins (jeez sounds like a carry on film now!) gave "it one rotation then remounted (titter yee not) it.
All lined up perfectly. The "writing" on them was removed with either acetone, UPVC cleaner or good old spit. The stainless is very finely grained so you cant just attack it with 80 grade to remove the casting marks, which to be honest - you can't hardly see!!

I'll do a more professional video at some point, but the damping action on all the various variants of these struts (available in normal black as well as stainless) is really nice:
