Am I the only one curious about who your brother is and which car is his? Or are you another Knowlton?

Heaven forbid, not another Knowlton, surely four Dbros is enough lol!

Seriously though, its great to see a new owner and another project car on the go, I have to say by personal experience that the help and friendship you will receive on here will be second to none, keep us posted with progress!

BTW, where are you situated Westy?

He's with me! Haha I had to bring mine back from the dead as in sure most of you know. After having pretty much rebuilt the entire front/ reat ends of the chassis the body of mine is back on, me and my lady are re upholstered the whole interior and in now just on engine work. Me and westy (tom) have both wanted one since forever and now we both have them in my garage and I think they are friends. With 2 restorations on the go it should get funny!! Tony is going to be our savior though, he's a top bloke and is doing my engine in the near future as my block cracked!

New joiner in Kent

Postby tonydriver118 » Tue Feb 23, 2016 4:45 pm

Just thought I'd introduce myself here. I bought 5560 a few years back and have done a very slow restoration so far. A bit of a milestone recently as it has had the fabrication and welding of the chassis done and now it is waiting for the powder coating. It was in particularly bad condition and has a very much seized engine and the interior, including the wiring loom, has been destroyed my mice. Lots to do and many questions to ask.
I've stripped most of the car and have started at the bottom and hope to get the running gear bolted to the chassis when it is completed but need to decide on what new suspension to use and obtain a fuel tank, also get the steering rack refurbished before I can get the body dropped back onto the chassis and have a rolling project.

Any help is gladly received!

I'll add some pictures as soon as I can.

Hi Tony and welcome!

A fuel tank is easy enough to get here - both Julian and Malc have them and we can ship to Kent no problem.
