Good evening all
In the sure and certain knowledge that sometime in the future I will desperately ned to check fuel pressure has anybody -----
Purchased a minimal test set which will test the k jetronic or can easily be adapted.
Or made one up themselves and if so have links to sites which can sell the hardware parts required and list same if possible
Thanks in advance Chris

It's just as cheap to buy a kit form already.

Have a look at Ebay item 123689886169

The main item is the need for the isolation valve, which in this example is in the lid, the largest length pipe with the quarter turn valve.

It's well worth the money to get.

Back to your main problem though, as a quick test, link the fuel pump relay so that the fuel pump runs all of the time.
Without starting the engine, prest the circulation k jetronic circular metering flap down by 3 mm at the side nearest to you if you are standing behind the rear bumper of the car. You should hear the fuel injectors squit fuel by noting a faint high pitched whine sound.

If you have to press it down more to hear it, then you may have to adjust the air/ fuel ratio until it does.

Thanks AB
Was trying to be more frugal but if you say it is good value- well. Seems a lot for a gauge pipe and tap but looks like I could use it for enemas, transfusions blood pressure checks and IV drips etc so okay . As to other ideas see my Engine stops while driving post.
Best Chris

i think Dan S bought this kit and ended up sending it back as the quality wasn't that good, maybe worth asking him before you buy

It's me. I bought one recently and the quality was very poor. None of the bits fitted together very well. I checked the gauge against a calibrated gauge and it was out as well. I ended up making my own tester with some bits off eBay.

Why don't you set up a mini production line and sell them on here?

I could do, I’d have to find an accurate gauge for a decent price though. The calibrated gauge shown above was 70 quid on its own, can’t see many people wanting to pay 90 quid for a tester?

Thanks Dan
If the gauge is that far out its not fit for purpose. What end connectors did you use and /or do you remember where you sourced any of it. Ihave been looking for a gauge and shut off valve but most of internet stuff is pretty vague on spec .Amazon want £232 for the specific kit !!!.

Go on eBay and look at snap on fuel pressure testers, if you are lucky you might pick one up for £70 ish
