Hi all,

Anyone got a source for gold cad-effect aerosol paint?? Googling isn't immediately helpful for a uk source.

Cheers

Aldi did one a few years ago, from Germany (at Xmas time). The brand was "Deco Style" or "Deco Art" or something like that. They do all sorts of colours, but only at the whims of whatever Aldi wish to stock on their shelves at any time. I've not seen it anywhere else. There's another by "Eastwood", which looks quite good. But no idea where to buy it from. Ebay?

Probably better to get the metal finished properly and professionally using an equivalent metal preparation for about the same amount as it would take to buy paint and spray it. It'd probably last longer too. Paint just gets chipped off. I painted bits of my car with a similar finish as you're looking for. Wish I'd just got it plated properly now. Sigh.

Just thinking about it now. Rust-oleum do many many colours. Available in all good hardware stores like B&Q and Homebase etc.

Cheers Rissy,

Frosts do one in silver cad, but not gold. It's only a small piece, may ignore!!

Try this from Eastwood, It has the gold base with a green & red tint (very watery clear with hint of red & green to mimic gold Cad plating blooms where you want them)
