just an FYI on my snow exploits...

In true DMC ownership style I went to the car on Monday morning to find... The door locks completely seized and the central locking not working. So after 15 minutes with de-icer and WD40 working the key in the lock, the drivers side was free. Then I had to peel the door up and off the seals... no damage done to the seals or hinges but the weight of the ice and snow was evident, making a drooping door just right for head bashing. Then get it warm.... turned the key in the ignition and the unmistakeable clicks of the starter motor saying "not today mate!"

Looked at the voltage on the dash and it was 8V. Bit annoying as the car drove brilliantly on Saturday. Cant complain though, Battery was exactly 10 years since production date and I was aware it might be soon to change.

New battery purchased and installed Monday night. By Tuesday, roads in my area were clear of snow and ice.

Wednesday - took the car to Horndean Tyres, Burgess Hill for 4 wheel laser alignment and was very please with their service. Front and rear adjust as best possible (i provided the shims), and all for £78.

Today the car is put to rest back into storage as my daily driver is roadworthy. Miss it already but it was not much fun to drive in the night with the old lights compared to a modern cars dipped beam.

My little boy was so distressed that he won't be going to nursery any more in the D that he had 3 separate tantrums. Bring on Summer!

P.s. love the pictures of the D in the Alps.

Thought I would take mine out for a spin as it had been sat for about 6 days and was freezing cold (poor thing). Started and handled like a champ though. Proud :D

The cold always makes it droop and seem smaller....

There is only one thing in life worse than not owning a DeLorean.
Owning one which is not running...
