Any idea what happed to the front frame section... looks like it got ripped on a bollard or something ?

My frame has a similar thing on the opposite side - its supposedly caused by torsion from the ARB and not having the frame recall plates. I could be wrong.

Dozy dock workers It didn't have it in the photos when I bought the car, it did when it arrived, and I was told they had to tow it off the boat because they couldn't get it started (bone dry on fuel!)

Chris welded it up before it was galvanised.

Yes, it was in 97% top shape anyway, but my customer wanted it to last a lifetime.

That looks a nice job martin. I wish mine was that color. I might strip it again and re-do it ;)

Latest from Prostrip

As explained earlier the post treatment media blasting of the chassis will
remove the heavy corrosion that is clearly visible after paint stripping.
The pre-treatment pickle acid that the galv process use would not be efficient
at removing this level of rust!

I would not like to return them in an unsatisfactory condition as we would not
be doing our job correct and we would leave ourselves wide open for complaints.

I trust the above meets your approval and if you have any further queries please
contact me.

It's actually very difficult to find the tow eyes under the front if you don't know what you're looking for. I'm asking future sellers to put some red tape around them!

FFS though, even hooking it to the roll bar would be preferable and wouldn't do any damage!

Arh, I see now Martin , they have 'hooked' the frame with the tow rope or something at that point and its kind of torn along....
