They're going to be shockingly expensive to import though aren't they? You'll pay 17.5% VAT again from January and you may even get nailed for the 10% import duty if you can no longer claim they were built in Dunmurry...

So you're looking at ($58,000 + $3,000 shipping) x 110% = $67,000. Add the VAT and convert to £s and it's the best part of £50k.

Hmm. Shit 80s kit car or Lotus Evora anyone? :D

Indeed. Plus I think it would be a bit more than $58k for a RHD with a "stage 2" engine, since it's $57,500 for a "basic model". Plus you'd need to add the cost of DMC adjusting it to meet UK SVA rules, and MOT and regsitration, plus god knows what road tax bracket a "new" car would fall under....? As you say - really limited to the "extreme" enthusiast/collector, and not sure there is anyone that mad in the UK...

A right hand drive auto though..... - very rare! ;)

They will probably sell some to Japan?

If anyone in the UK wanted a newly built RHD they would get one from PJ Grady.

Automatic much easier to do the pedal box than a 5-speed ;) Interesting they've ditched the idea of inverting the vent box too.
