Where you can't park will be highlighted by a double yellow stripe next to the kerb.
Where you will be towed will be highlighted by a double red stripe next to the kerb (mainly London on main routes)
You just need some black tape to blank out the section on the headlamp that would point to the right.
Speed limits in the UK are in Miles per Hour and NOT Kmph. 50 Mph is approx 80 Kmph.
Also much as you said on this quote apart from the pedestrian crossings have orange lights on top of black/white striped poles as in the pic.
You won't get on the spot fines like in europe.
As said, it's advisable to get a bright yellow high visibility jacket, warning triangle etc.
If you do brake down on the motorway then park on the hard shoulder (the left most lane dedicated for emergencies) but get out of the car, wear the high vis jacket and stand well away from the motorway.
Get a recovery service organised just in case (although members here would help!)
It would be rare you got fined for running out of fuel and parking on the hard shoulder on a motorway.
When coming up to roundabouts, there is a sign/ road markings to show which lane you should be in for a particular turn.
Larger roundabouts have dedicated lanes to enter/ exit.
Good luck and enjoy driving on the Left !

All i found is:
* you have to drive on the left, and overtake on the right;
* keep to the speed limit;
* unlike EU, there is no right of way for traffic from the right (which will be left in your case) because all crossroad are properly marked
* you have to signal correctly when approaching a roundabout
* pedestrian crossings are marked by green lights on poles
* you may not park on some roads
* you can be fined if you stop on the shoulder because of an empty tank.
