Notice how Al dodges the "do you love it?" question  - ever the politician!

Even Jason will admit, it takes a lot a ground one permanently! And there are quite a few of us who have never had a running problem - more often than not the issues you will find are cosmetic or non-essential (such as speedo angle drive / fuel tank sender, etc).

Yes - I love it really, but as some of the people on DMC Talk said - be prepared to spend money on it - you never know what it might throw at you. Plus you'll have to get used to attracting a lot of attention when you're driving it.

LOL...

The D is like any car really, with regular maintenance it is very reliable ... of course the car is now 28 years old and things like rubber hoses and belts etc would need addressing if they are still origional .

The PRV engine is a good solid engine... most cars are still running on the same ones that were fitted at the factory with very little work done on them over the years.

Any questions you have ... ask away ;)

yeah but dont take any notice of us  iv had my car 6 years and wouldnt part with it, most problems you get are age related, so if your running around with a 30 year old water pump or alternator dont be surprised if it does fail.
I would also like to point out if for any reason the engine decides to commit suicide just put a volvo engine in job done TT

You've seen stripes in peoples lawns before, well I was merely doing the same with my bonnet.........or Hood, call it what you want. I wanted it to look different, you know, stand out from the rest. Tony laughed when he first clapped eye's on it, that took me a week to do!!!! he didn't even have the curtisy to look away and snigger, well admittley it may have looked a little shit, it was just reflecting the rest of the car!!! SAM, Heed my Advice!!!

Hi Sam - Welcome to the club.
The deloreans are great when they work properly. And if they don't ....then just consider it a learning experience fixing it.
