are you on the right thread? :p

yes, cerium. Although I bought the 'light scratch' kit and it hasn't worked that well so far. I've just bought the medium/deep scratch kit and will have a go this week.

The passenger power window has loads of scratches on the outside where it looks like it was powered up and down against the stainless/rubber wipe metal backing part. Might have to get a new one...yet another new part. 'ship of thesius 'yes, this is the car that was 3193 now it's something new. :( The other windows have scratches in them too. It's this kind of damage you don't appreciate when the whole car looks like a turd (as is did when i bought it) you're putting it back together to make it mint or as close as and these kinds of things (light scratches, etc) can drive you mad....

I've got the same kind of scratches in my tool booth window. The scratches are parallel to the way the window moves up and down. I've heard of some kind of glass polish that should do the trick but I have not found a source for it yet.

talking of scratches, i got all mine out about 4 years ago, best way is cordless drill and plenty of elbow grease, using some podered stuff from www.screwfix.com not sure if they still do it tho. trick is not to get glass too hot so do a few bits at a time TT
