DVD to Samsung Galaxy S3 ripper/ converter recommendation

Yes it's about time I got a new phone...

Can anyone recommend any software that can convert/ rip my original DVD's to files that my Samsung Galaxy S3 can play (preferably a free one not limited as I am still tight) ?

Look for handbrake. It's free, fast and I'll read the DVD and convert it On the fly.

As above - although also on my version I remember having to download a small plug in file/mod of some kind to overcome copy protection as well. I use it to put DVDs on my iPad/iPhone.

On the mac you just need a coy of VLC installed and the handbrake ueses that to do the DVD decrypt. I'm sure there is a standalone DLL or addon for windows

Yep that was it, on my pc I installed Handbrake, VLC, and the DLL. It's really easy and quick to rip a DVD

I use MakeMKV. Its free to download and rips DVD and Blurays to the MKV format. I then take this file and use handbrake to reduce the size. Works perfectly. In fact just ripping a bluray as we speak. After trying LOADS of bits of software out there this combo works for me. 500 titles done so far, and no worries!
