Rob, I knew you'd been ill but I didn't realise quite how bad this had been. All I can say is that I was really shaken when I read your story - and having known close friends who've battled cancer I know how tough it is. My thoughts, hopes and best of best wishes are all with you. I hope you recover speedily from this final operation. Have the docs put any kind of timeframe on when you might get back to something approaching normality?

Hmmm. Normality.. You mean like this:

Me: "Doctor, how did the operation go?"
Doc: "only time will tell"
Me: 'will i ever be normal again?"
Doc: "god damned rob, i'm a doctor, not a psychiater"

Rob, there are no words to describe my feelings whilst reading your post. I cannot begin to comprehend what you have been through over the last few years, but I am so pleased that there appears to be a light at the end of that tunnel for you now...

Your continued positive mind set, determination, energy and enthusiasm to get through this, has been inspiring. It sounds like you have a great support network of family and friends that have helped you through this - something that no money can buy!

Rob, you've been through the wars in the past couple of years. I can't imagine what its been like for you but I do know what it's like to be a family member looking on but thats a story for another day....
