For anything else not specifically DeLorean related....

one of the projects I've been working on

I bought this fiberglass body shaped like a 57 corvette some time ago and recently have found time to get some work done with it. The body was originally intended as some manner of store display so it doesn't have doors, a top storage lid or even a gas flap that opens. Several weeks back I picked up a Chevy S10 that had a 350/th350 drivetrain already swapped into it as a donor vehicle for the project.

as it was when I picked it up

The pickup frame was too long so I cut some of it out:

Once that was done I needed to support the body where I could reasonably do test fitting and other detail work for mating the two bits together. I opted to suspend it from the bottom of my loft.

and here is what it looks like at the moment. Things that still need to be accomplished before I can begin attaching the body to the frame and making supports are few but significant. The drivetrain needs to move back about 8-10 inches, the frame rails will need to be cut down on each end and I will need to modify the fiberglass to accept the rise in the frame for the axle hump. Nothing insurmountable but a fair amount of work just the same.
