Wow I'm so slack, well not that slack I just haven't posted pictures / updates for a while.

For those not on FB, I ended up pulling the engine/tranny. The g/box was sent off for a rebuild and I replaced the rear main seal / sump gasket / valley gasket / cam covers gaskets while it was out. I then replaced the 70Lbs cast iron intake with a high flow Edelbrock, fitted a new w/pump, new oil lines.

Once the tranny was back everything was put back together and dropped back in, a few more updates later brings me to today where the front end build up is complete ready to turn the key but..... I've the rear axle/spring/petrol tank/air tank/bumper off for a clean / rebuild.

Anyway some pictures:

And you thought changing the rear oil seal on a PRV was a PITA! The 1 tonne engine stand was NOT happy.

Back in the car, again a major PITA!

I'll have to see if I can retro fit one of these to the D

I think that about brings things up-to-date. Hopefully within the next month the rear end will be back together and she'll be up and running again for the first time in almost 2 years!

That engine is HUGE! Looks like victorian engineering compared to the PRV?!

Lol it's chuffing heavy I can tell you, few sphincter twinges rotating it on the engine stand; which involved a combination of a bloody great bar and the engine hoist!

Love the work you put in to it. And the engine seems to put out some serious power.

360cu or 5.9L in Euro speak. Good for 220Hp in that form, with the larger 650cfm carb and High flow non EGR alloy Edelbrock performer intake its supposed to make nearer 260Hp with the standard cam.

Not sure if your guys know about the Horsepower.tv guys but they did an AMC360 build up, non boosted they where getting over 500Hp from one :D

I'll need to play around with the timing / fuelling as being from the 70's its all tuned up for emissions, hence the EGR, which now thats its removed will require some tweaks.
