I spent a couple of hours chasing down lost sparks till I remembered that I put a switch back in the circuit...!
I actually traced the "bad earth" all the way back to the switch
before the penny dropped
So not running yet, but I did cough when I tried to bump it. So should be ok.
Think I will fit lights for the trip, maybe even kickstart and side stand. Pain in the arse without them really.
Tomorrow I move onto this one, which my mate it taking. I also haven't ridden this for well over 10 years. It will be a bit more work I think.

I am loving getting reacquainted with my fathers imperial tools. The old man snuffed it 8 years ago, and I built the silver 650 with him. It's quite nice.
These 2 bikes lay in slumber while I stored the d for 4 years at my mums garage. So this really feels like progress!
