Hi all,
can someone please help me, i really want to sub to this but its only available in the Uk and will never come to NZ

you do know the complete price to build the model is over £1200 don't you ? seems a bit steep for a model IMO :o

hadn't really thought of that, where else can i get a bttf car model of that size that i can build myself?

You're spot on Mec, It is steep... I was looking closely at some shots from the launch event, and fair play to them, there's a stonking level of detail and high part count. It also seems very accurate (apparently they laser scanned a real DMC). There is a lot of metal in it, all the panels are brushed finish metal parts. It's a heavy beast at 10-12kg. The guys that restored the A-Car were involved in the design of it.
The Hot Toys is bigger and cheaper, but this blows it away in terms of quality.

To the best of my knowledge the only other big model is the Hot Toys one, but it comes as a finished item...

what scale is this one ? My wife got me an Air fix style Delorean kit for Xmas, I know it wont be on the same level as its plastic but you can paint all the pieces to suite, Im not sure how much it was but i would guess a hell of a lot cheaper than this one

This one is 1:8, which makes it half a metre long... I think the injection moulded (Aoshima?) kits are around 1:25 scale, which would put them around 180mm or so.
