Not sure if the above file works ( doesnt on my ancient tech, and had to load it on my phone!!) But it should show the hall sensor being activated by the magnet which is inline between the oil tank and crankcases. I have wired it into the relay as Dan advised, which is now mounted under the seat.

This switches on the ignition when the tap is open, and cuts the sparks when the tap begins to close.

Timefor a road test, but not tonight!

Should work tho. Hopefully vibration doesnt destroy it, and it is robust enough. Although as a cautious type, its wired so that if something fails, then the whole relay-sensor bullshit can be taken out of the circuit to bypass it and get home... On a ride, I wouldn't be turning the oil tap off, its just to stop oil draining over a period of time.

Cheers, and thanks again Dan!

Ok, what time consuming and not-quite-necessary project is next?!

Ah yes, Delorean front fascia removal and sorting all the shit behibd there!
