Nope, I have late nights in a shed and not enough sleep. You modern motorcycle riders take it for granted that there are no puddles under your bike if it's left for a week!!

Older is still better!

I have to say, that is pretty awesome Andy :) What year is it?

Here's mine - I thought even this was nudging into classic status, being a 2007 an all... :)

Its 1955, but the engine's a tuned 750 from '71.

I rode it up to Liverpool to visit the classic TT on the isle of man. Went well and not actually too uncomfortable! A bit loud maybe.

All in, its a bit like the D- shit but awesome!!

Did you take the scenic route? Can't imagine it's much fun sitting on the M1 and M6 for 4 hours on that?!

Nope, M1, M6!

What wrong with sitting on 4mm of worn out foam, topped with a bit of leatherette, like a half-shut knife straining to keep your eyes approximately horizontal?!

No more than an hour at a time tho!

Hi Dan,

Ok, I got a new Hall sensor 200mA out put (but i think its actually 300mA according to the pack insert), and a relay with a measured coil resistance of 77 ohms.

So this will draw about 175mA. All good.

Bench tested, and I think this will work. Just need to make up a little ally bracket, and hide the relay somewhere and hopefully sorted.

Thanks for this, will post up a conclusion when its all fitted!

Superb! :D

And as others have said, what a nice bike! I really want to get somthing a bit different, but don't really use my bike much as it is. Did 400 miles last year

Snap! Since I went to the classic TT this year, I hadn't ridden this since the last time I went to the Isle of Man in 2017.

It gets *way* more time spent working on it than ridden, but I am ok with that. I used to ride all the time, and absolutely lived for bikes. Now I am just old and creaky, but get a different type of pleasure through ownership and tinkering.

Thats why I need this oil tap see? If you use it enough, the sump doesn't fill up with oil. The risk is that you forget to turn it on tho...

Its just like the D. The driving is a bonus, if you can call it that!! The real reason is to have it and play with it!

So true, I get more pleasure tinkering in the garage than driving it. Although the road trip to Hamburg was excelent, but driving it to work and back isn't that pleasureable, listening out for new noises and getting clutch leg ache in traffic  But I am trying to use it fairly often now as being laid up for 3.5 years did it no favours and caused sticky brake calipers and other little niggles.
