The chassis really came up well, what colour is that on the powdercoat, silver/ grey ? Looks really well.

Thanks Shane, its RAL9007, the same colour as i had my D chassis done in, its like a light grey with a very subtle metallic fleck in it :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Hi All

Sorry for the gap in posts, work has been continuing on the Supervan, so carrying on from the last post I did, now the chassis is back, I started refurbing all the running gear, starting off with the rear suspension components...


All of the rear leaf springs, brackets and shackles have been cleaned up and painted...

Next up was the rear axle, this has had a complete strip down with all new sills and home made gaskets as these aren't available, to start with was to get all the years of gunk off it ...

then the axle was put all back together with new sills and outer bearings, then a good wire brushing...

this was all then fitted to the chassis along with new Gaz rear shocks ...

I then moved onto the front A frame, this was all galvanised and powdercoated with the chassis but all the components that go on it had to be refurbed, a new king pin was fitted too...

Top work as ever mec it's coming along nicely ;). The diff came out very well and with things being started to be put back on the chassis it looks even better :thumbsup:
