MarchTec - Meetup in Norfolk 17/18 March

2 weeks to go everyone! Looking forward to seeing who braves it in the snow!

Interestingly, a chap called Roger Morris got in touch with me recently. He worked at Lotus for 2 years when they were designing the car for DMC, which meant he often visited Dunmurry every two weeks for the Project Progress Meetings.

Anyway, he’s keen to come along to the meet and see the cars. I imagine he has lots of stories to share with us! He even has an original parts list that he’s going to bring along with him.

Roger is also the owner of a 1972 Lotus Elan +2 130S, but I think we’re unlikely to see this time as it’s currently a work in progress…

Well i can say that he will get to see at least one car at the meet (mine)

Currently, no. If theyre still saying there will be snow come Thursday, then its more likely. Alot can change in a week so they may as well be predicting who will win the next world cup

Might be joining with my 5 year old boy on Saturday afternoon. Will likely stay overnight and head back early Sunday morning. Will curtail drinking but will be nice to see some familia vehicles all parked up!

Just need to put binnacle back in and get it MOT’d. (MOT is for my peace of mind).

Mot passed with usual handbrake efficiency advisory! So tonight I was adjusting the handbrake as per a document uploaded in another thread. Unfortunately I could only get one side working correctly. The passenger side adjusts on the adjustment screw but the cable just doesn’t operate it the same. Oh well one wheel is better than none.
See you Saturday at Arbuckles or the hotel if running late.
