Yes - I've been following your "ghost". Sometimes I can go 5 minutes without you passing me, then it all goes wrong!

What's with the big queue of traffic out on the track? Were they holding it up for some reason or was it really that rammed?

Yeah we went on in the first 15 minutes. The queue on the track is people queuing to start a second lap, and the two queues we're in was for the first-lappers. It was a Sunday afternoon, so quite a busy day.

I spoke to Dan earlier about his experience of it on the phone. What was your experience of the Ring like Arran? Did you time it?!

Yep - hopefully Dan will get some pics/video up later. He was considerably quicker than me - I was just cruising round really, hence my time of 15:33 Had we had the opportunity to do a few laps then I would have had to confidence to go for it. Although it did help that the whole track was on the TomTom!

Only saw one written-off car in our lap, and that was at the first corner. Then the track was closed just after we came off due to a bike accident. It was quite an experience just for the closing speeds alone. I'm coming up to a corner at 50, the 5 GT3s behind me and doing 150!

But by far the funniest thing was in the car park before. We parked up amongst 7 Porsche GT3s, 5 Aston Martins, 3 Audi R8s, and 1 Vauxhall Nova, then went for lunch - when we came back there were 10 people stood around the DeLoreans, taking pictures etc - they weren't interested in the other cars!
Someone was using our channel on the radios too - and it wasn't long before I heard "wow - check out the DeLorean"! Normal stuff I know, but in the presence of millions of pounds of decent cars was quite cool.

I think that the best experience would be in a hire car though - wouldn't have to be anything special, but a car you weren't bothered about totalling, then you wouldn't have the worry about having to keep it going to get it back home. My balljoints were creaking like hell all the way round!
