I know Chris is stacked out until the EuroTec event, and he is here obviously in June, so that can be worked out then. It needs engine work anyway to get it running right, so I suppose the situation can be assesed then.

Aaron is in Wiltshire.

Just saw his video on DMC Talk.

Happens to the best of us. I've come inches away from slamming my open door against the garage wall.

Phil349 wrote:Aaron, can you post some pics of the area where the door hinges are? Might show up what damage, if any, there is to the hinges, torsion bar, strut, etc. It did look like the door twisted a lot there, so maybe as said above there could be hidden damage to the fibreglass and roof support metal work which you cant see.
Just replacing the door may not fix it 100%, what about sending the car to Grady's for work? Where are you based?

I'll take some pics when i get home from work tomorrow & post them a.s.a.p.

(Also I would like to thank everyone on here for your help).

Looks like my local MOT garage is open on Saturdays.... so we may be ok.

Aaron - what is the deal with transportation? Is it a friend bringing it up? What day can you get it here?

As transportation is concerned, i got a quote of £400 today. :!:

My friend will not be in the country, so I can't get it transported by him. :(

Aaron,

When is he around? Arran will be ok with it arriving early I'm sure.

Aaron - I am expecting 2 other DeLoreans by trailer well in advance of the event. Along with mine too yours would be the fourth - and it would be very safe here! Not like someone's going to dent it either! ;)

£400 is waaay over the odds.

Have you got AA insurance? You could take it out now (what is the limit?). Dan can then explain to you how to get the car here for free (do you need tax Dan?)

Dan can verify I'm sure, but I can't see why not - you are allowed to drive it to an MOT test of course, and I can book you one and give it to you in writing, so not a problem there. Yes - I am talking about AA breakdown insurance. What level of cover have you got?

Failing that I can post you my numberplates! ;)

Just book an MOT near arrans to be on the safe side. Get the car outside and away from the house so it looks like you've made an effort to drive it and get the AA to bring it, the truck drivers don't care as long as they get paid.

Aaron, why can't you drive it to norfolk? From your video it seems to be running ok?
