Dan, those price quotes were with Virgin, you might well be right and get cheaper, it was just a rough guide. I think you might be able to do a return with Ryan air for £35, but I thinking it's standing room only for 8 hours

I'd be happy to stand up for 8 hours if the flight was only 35 quid! I'll have a look nearer the time, end of the day I will most likely come anyway. Have you checked business class prices for Arran?

I have just booked a flight to Florida with virgin. It's £1500 for Al, me and little Em from the 7th June next year to the 17th, which is about £500 cheaper than about 2 months ago. I have checked a couple of airlines and BA and virgin seemed to be on par within a couple of quid, how long these prices will hold I don't know, thats why I thought i would mention it
