Well, the rack is now back on the car! Getting the rack in place went pretty smoothly, but then the skies opened and it began raining as the rack was attached to the steering column. The wheels went back on and as the light faded Chris managed to retrack the car and remove and realign the steering wheel.

A big thank you goes out to Chris for being so generous with his time and taking the trouble to help me out tonight, in the pouring rain, reburbing and fitting the rack. I really appreciate it and I can't wait to get my car back out on the road.

Great news, top work Mr Spratt! Btw Chris I have a development on another rack so we could get that one refurbed so in future it'll be a straight swap job.

I'm going to sort out the lights this weekend and book a retest early next week. Then think about all the other jobs to do on the car!
