Hi all!
The 1st of October takes place as each year this very popular show regrouping one of the finest bunch of English-bred four wheelers. This year the 50th anniversary of the E-type is celebrated. Here for more information on the show itself : http://www.british-cars.ch
I thought, why not organising something around the 30th anniversary of our very own stainless thing?
So I contacted the persons in charge of the show and here's their answer :
Hi Franck, thanks for your message and the great idea to celebrate 30 years of back to the future.
We have had several DeLorean at Morges over the years, the most regular is a 1981 DMC 12 which comes down from Carrouge in Vaud, you may know it or it is the car you are referring to!. I have no problem with the fact that the financing was US based, the cars were, as you rightly say, British in concept and build.
It would be good to put together a nice DeLorean display, and if you can tell me how many cars you can get together I will try and arrange a display area. The Chateau is taken up with E-Types, but there is still the possibility of displaying the DMCs along the pedestrian quay that runs from the Temple up to the Galere, if you know Morges it is where we had the 50th Mini display, and the 50th Austin Healey 3000 display.
Can you interest the UK clubs? That would make it a great event, can we try for 30 DeLoreans for the 30th anniversary. Awesome
Let me know, and if you can set it up I’ll announce it on the website.
All the best
Keith
You'll find details for accomodation on the website, and if some of you are not afraid of inflatable beds and sleeping beds, i can host for free up to 10-12 persons at home
We'll set up activities depending on the number of people attending, but we can already assure good BBQ with a view on the lake at Xaviers's place, and outdoor thermal baths in the mountain for those interested.
Hope to see you in big numbers!!!
