I noticed that you are holding your annual event this year in Hunstanton, Norfolk.
It just so happens that the Annual Vintage Transport Day at the North Norfolk Railway takes place on Sunday July 1st and as the organiser, was wondering if your members would wish to take part, as the railway is only about a 45 minute drive from your rally venue? This could be a fine way of concluding your weekend in the area!
The details are as follows:-
Location - Holt (NNR) Railway Station, just off the A148 at High Kelling.
Date - Sunday July 1st 2012 from 9am onwards.
Rally Entry - FREE entry for car and driver, plus a FREE rail ticket to travel on the railway. Additional passengers may purchase a rail ticket at the privilege rate of only £3.00 (Normally £10.50)
What else do you get for free?
Unlimited travel on a fleet of vintage buses! (oh, the sound of those Gardner engines.........)
Probably the largest annual gathering of classic cars in East Anglia.
Two model railways to view
Travel in our restored LNER "Quad Articulated" set of coaches
Your own stand (bring your flags and banners)
Expert stewarding by the North Norfolk Classic Vehicle Club (I will be shot at dawn if I do not mention this)
Commemorative plaque
What else at optional extra cost?
Miniature Railway Fides
Engine Shed Tour
Museum Tour
Refreshments at all stations
Vintage "Gallopers" fairground rides
If might sound attractive to your members, perhaps you could let me know and we can make arrangements?
Kind Regards
