Cheers for the video Dan!
Yes, as Dan said quickest I got was 16.5 but the car still isn't going quite right - about 90-95% I'd say. Get to 5500rpm and then the power just drops off so you have to short-shift. I fiddled with the mixture and found that it ran better leaner (two 16.5s) as opposed to richer (two 16.7s and a 16.9) than it was set at Eurotec, but I think that's only some of the problem. I'll take the car down to the local garage tomorrow and see what CO it's at for reference. If it's still way too rich that could explain it, although I'm pointing the finger at the injectors at the moment given the state of them at Eurotec.
I want to take the rocker covers off and check the tappets too, just make sure those haven't slackened off from the already generous clearances that Kent Cams gave me. I'm also going to check the fuel pump voltage too - see if I can gain some voltage by running a new earth.
Dan, could you upload the picture of the spark plug you took? We think these are probably OK and have burnt off the blackness from Eurotec but wouldn't mind a second opinion or two. If questionable I'll probably change them when I go in for tappets/injectors.
Conclusions about my Volvo engine swap and reprofiled cams: Inconclusive. Definitely quicker than it previously was, despite not running right, but not yet proved to be the way forward for engine swappers and cam fiddlers like me. And of course I haven't quite shaken off the Eurotec Slowest DeLorean tag yet. I'm still officially the slowest DeLorean up the Santa Pod strip
