Classic car meet

Postby bandit » Tue Aug 02, 2011 10:02 pm

Went to a classic meet at a pub 10 mins from me tonight. Was packed, obviously due to the great weather. Some lovely stuff there, thought these might be right up your street DarrenImageImageImage

I had a chat with the guy, £200K & they are really just copies of the real thing, very nice copies, but 200 grand & no roof!

Cheer Ju,

Nice 3ltr Cricklewood Bentley, looks to be the one I'd take home. :D

The Jag replica's a bit steep, a plastic one is about £40K, an ali bodied one is about £80K, the chaps pulling your leg at £200K.

Right, I thought it sounded daft money, he was a bit of a 'cock' to be honest.
The black RR belongs to a mate of mine. His father-in-law bought it when it was only a few years old & they have had in since.

Your chap's £200K one ;) looks like a nostalgia replica,

Here's one with an ali body direct from the factory at less than £50K

The real valuble car in your pics is the 3 ltr I fancied, it's truely worth around £150-175K

The Rolls albeit in nice condition has an unfashionable body so it's worth around £25K only

I think he said his father-in-law paid £2000 for it. Not a bad investment, except you could have bought a whole row of houses at the time, which would be worth twenty times that now, maybe, who knew!
