Yorkshire Meet - All welcome - xscape 27th April

Postby lukebrynycz » Wed Mar 13, 2013 4:01 pm

I have been promising a Delorean meet for a while now so thought it's about time I set a date :)

I have a few commitments in April so I propose the last weekend (27th or 28th) for a meet in good ol' Yorkshire! Xscape in Castleford is a great place if attended early and there's loads of shops and entertainment (cosmic golf, good times!).

The warm welcome I received on both forums was truly appreciated, and it would be great to meet you all. Anyone is welcome, and it'd be great if all owners in the area would turn up so we can have a large meet and really get some cameras going. :)

See you in the future! (I'll get my coat..)

Good idea. They could use it to their advantage if advertised in advance! I'll drop them an email.

"Dear Xscape. Lots of scrap metal will be attending in April (well....some will make it there) could you plesse ensure that they aren't removed from the premises and turned into useful things? We appreciate it. P.s. The Las Vegas versions of these cars will also be there, they may have flashing lights but please keep kids away"

Feel free to add any tweaks to the email before I send it.

Right, positive things from the venue! :) I have just had feedback from Xscapes marketing manager. He is excited about the meet and it would seem that he is actually going to turn it into a bit of an event. We would have a secure area outside the main entrance so the more the merrier!

Please add names to the confirmation list so that I can inform him of numbers.

No worries Mike, shame you can't attend. I don't tend to travel down that way to be honest :(

lol! Doubt it, but they have agreed to give us a large area and I have requested some barriers to keep the swarms away. ;)
