Flying the Eurotec flag on the UK's islands

Dr Duncan, his mate Issac & myself just before take two in front of the 'green screen' lol

Simon, Andy & me. I rekon' this constitutes a Eurotec gathering IOM style, surely 3 members & 1 car must be a record!

Ello yoof!

The 650 Norton flew Heysham to London with its Spanish pilot.

The 750 wasn't super happy when it got hot (losing power, probably ignition related, but I dont know what), so I waited for recovery off the ferry.

(Not too bothered, I was happy just to make it to the Island. Bit of a miracle as the bike hadn't run in 10 years, and the 650 in nearly 15 years!!

Pre-booked my recovery, as I knew the arrival time of the ferry (12.15)

Guy turns up at 1400: "Sorry mate I cant take bikes".

I finally get recovery at 1915, but, we need to Go to Leyland to pick up a new driver.

Then back north to Cleveleys to drop off old driver

Then on to Stoke, to meet the next van.

Then he got really lost, (admittedly the M6 was closed and the M1 was closed, and the A43 as well I think). By this point, I was just about asleep, despite the babbling muppet driving.

Finally arrived at Northampton for another changeover to a smaller van.

And arrival in North London c. 0230.

Sleep was very welcome, but not enough before getting up for kid/ work/ functioning.

Stiffly worded letters to both RAC (who said they wanted money to take me, despite having recovery, and not being able to tell me how much- eh??!) and my Insurance Co (RH), who eventually provide the service.

Useless! The whole reason for claiming they couldnt get to me till after 1900 was that the driver would be able to take me all the way to london without any other relay. Which was bollocks. He took himself home, in the opposite direction to where I wanted to go!

But it did not mar a great holiday, and great to see all for the first ManxTec.

I had better get the whitworth spanners out, and send these ignition units off for testing...

British stuff- FOOKIN SHIIITE YOOF !! Dont we know it!

Gorrit out of frame, gonna split crankcase next week & have a look. You can get Con Rod & bearing kits for them still, so we'll see what's what
