Yes, it is - definitely. Just a case of agreeing on a tunnel crossing time, then booking somewhere suitable to stay (but there is plenty of choice). Ed is confirmed for the Saturday visit / lunch near his.

- Tunnel crossing on Friday 3rd March at about 11am. 4 hour drive the other side to Amsterdam to arrive about 4pm.
- Stay for 2 nights in a hotel with decent parking fairly central or with good tram links. There is plenty of choice at the moment.
- Drive over to Ed's on the Saturday for lunch, and a tour of DeLorean Europe.
- Return on Sunday afternoon.

Hi, just for info, I'm a plus one on this.

My mate will be accompanying to Amsterdam. Presuming the car gets an MOT on Saturday...

I hope all is order, bar an investigation of the non-washing windscreen washers.

Cheers

OK - so we need to sort accommodation and parking... I think sooner rather than later.

The main issue is parking. Those hotels that do offer parking aren't always specific about the quality of parking etc, sometimes it is off-site, always it is an extra charge.
One possible option is to book parking separately - for example I have found an underground modern car park - wide bays, staffed etc., reasonable price, come and go as you please - you pre-book your place there in advance, located near to the main train station - so just means a few minutes on a tram to get to where we are staying, maybe - what do you reckon? I think we're only talking 3 or 4 cars.

Accommodation, I am of the opinion that location is important, which narrows the field somewhat - typical price in a 2/3 star hotel is £250-£300 all in for 2 nights in a twin room (about £75 per person per night sharing), obviously can pay more than that for a 4-star etc.

One possible other option I have found is a boat...! This is available for our dates, is moored in a pretty handy location, and sleeps up to 18 people in 7 rooms. Would make booking it quite easy. Looking at about £120 each in total if I have the numbers right. Less than that if more come.

The list as I understand it is:

Me
Julian
Spratty - flying
Gary (Chris's mate, probable) - flying
Admin-bloke - flying
Andy D
Friend of above
Nigel
Friend of above

Aaron??
Mec??

Thoughts? Obviously I need to sort out booking this sooner rather than later really.
